Nha Trang a coastal city on the South Central Coast of Vietnam, about 450 km northeast of Saigon. It’s similar to Da Nang in that it’s a fully-fledged city next to a resort-quality beachfront. And like Da Nang it’s also experiencing a property boom, with new towers lining the seafront, making it into a mini Miami/Gold Coast.
What I like about Nha Trang is that it’s a working city by the sea, as opposed to being a string of resorts and little else. Step back a couple of blocks from the beachfront and it is a regular city.
Here are some of the projects that are under construction or planned for the future.
AB Central Square Nha Trang
AB Central Square Nha Trang is indeed centrally-located, being bounded by Tran Phu, Le Thanh Ton and Hung Vuong. It is opposite the Lotus Tower on the beach, which is the central point of the beachfront. This 36-storey tower features a 4-storey podium shopping mall, office space, and condotel units. And of course there will be a skybar.
Sunshine Marina Nha Trang Bay
Address: 32 Tran Phu, Nha Trang.
The Sunshine Marina is another resort on the Tran Phu beach road, though its listed address is the same as the current InterContinental Hotel. The hotel appears to be inspired by the other Marina hotel with an infinity pool on the roof.
Beau Rivage Nha Trang
Beau Rivage Nha Trang (formerly know as Tropicana Nha Trang) is on one of the prime blocks of land on the seafront, so this one needs to be iconic. The project has had design and name changes since its original launch, and it hasn’t started yet so maybe it will change again by then.
Panorama Nha Trang
Gold Coast Nha Trang
Napoleon Castle Nha Trang
This 40 floor, 148 metre tower is currently under construction.
Condotel Scenia Nha Trang Bay
This project was first reported in 2011 with a different design, and it now appears to be under construction as of late 2017.
Vinpearl Beach Front Condotel
Vinpearl Empire Condotel
Nha Trang Airport Redevelopment
Address: Nha Trang Air Base, Nha Trang.
The old Nha Trang airport was a remnant of the war and it was is in the city centre. You could be on the beach and watch planes coming in to land. The airport has now moved to Cam Ranh, which has enabled development of the seafront now there are no height restrictions. The airport land was reportedly being sold for 540 million USD, and a new city is going to be built on the site.
