Where and when to catch Phnom Penh’s new water taxi
Good to see that Phnom Penh will make use of its rivers as a means of transport. Bangkok already does this well, and Saigon began a water taxi service last year.

As noted in the Future Penang article, there is a massive land reclamation project planned in the south of the island. This video by Wade Shepard gives a glimpse into the lives of the fishermen that are losing their livelihoods as a result of the project.
HCMC presents artist impressions of new futuristic headquarters
A proposal to add an extension behind the historic city hall of Ho Chi Minh City. This plan was floated several years ago, and now it is making a comeback. There was one plan which had an extension built on top of the historic buildings behind the city hall. The image shown here would demolish everything behind it.
Korea’s Lotte to build $884mn complex in Ho Chi Minh City this year
I won’t believe it until I see earth-moving equipment moving earth, but it appears that the much-delayed project in Thu Thiem (The Pudong of Saigon) is going to start in September. Stay tuned for an announcement of what the “iconic tower” will look like.
